A proud eagle is painted on top to symbolize a country that new immigrants were proud to call their own. A graceful ribbon ties two lovebirds with a love knot. Bridal boxes were custom made to hold the clothes and fabrics a woman took with her into marriage. A bridal box was a once-in-a-lifetime object that was revered and passed on to future generations.
