The Swiss bridal box offers four hidden drawers behind the beautifully painted hinged doors. Top opens to space for documents, or the family bible. Hand wrought iron door and top hinges, hand turned and painted legs. Unique. Practical. Trousseau means the same thing in both French and English. Bridal boxes were custom made to hold the clothes and fabrics a woman took with her into marriage. A bridal box was a once-in-a-lifetime object that was revered and passed on to future generations.
